Greetings Karen.

I do not know if you have heard, but a student CCW has gone missing,

George Sandford.

He had attened world youth day with the group and became close with

everyone in CCW and I believe he made some friends outside, though he

was a quite person. I am asking if the people who went to world youth

day from sandhurst would keep him and his family in there prays until

he is found.

here is part of an article from our local paper:

"A PEACEFUL summer's day took a tragic turn in Albury yesterday as a

teenage boy vanish in the Murray River. The search for Wodonga

Catholic College student, George Sandford, 16, resumed today at 7am.

The teen had been swimming with three other friends at Noreuil Park

when he started to struggle in the water, about 500m downstream of the

Union Bridge, just before 2pm.

His mates, also pupils at the school, tried frantically to save him

but he was swept away.

George, the son of Wodonga couple Ian and Josephine Sandford, was to

start year 11 next month.

Isabelle Danhiez, whose daughter is a Catholic College student in

George's year, had arrived at the bank when he encountered his

distraught friends.

"One of them said 'I've lost my mate'," Miss Danhiez said.

Police, SES and paramedics joined members of the volunteer Rescue

Squad in the search, which covered 2-3km from the Union Bridge

downstream. "

Please keep him and his family in your prayers and thoughts

thank-you

From Jasmin
