After sending the message to you about George from Wodonga, I recieved this information from Phil Billington of the Catholic Education Office.
I am writing with very sad news. Rachael Zimmer, a 16 year old student of Catholic College Bendigo who was due to begin Year 12 this year was tragically killed in a car accident near Buchan in the east Gippsland on Friday. She was travelling with her boyfriend Luke Arnott, en ex-student of Bendigo Senior Secondary College who was also killed. Rachael's parents, Neville and Natalie and her younger brothers, Jackson (Year 10 at CCB) and Brayden (entering Year 7 at CCB) are devastated by this tragedy. All the children have been students at Holy Rosary Primary School in White Hills. We extend our prayers and sympathy to Rachael's family and particularly to Darren McGregor and the Staff and students of CCB and Justin Lloyd and the staff and students of Holy Rosary.
It is a dreadful start to the year for those in this community, particularly Rachael's family and friends. Please keep the Zimmer family, and the Bendigo community in your prayers as well.Karen
