Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
I write to you out of deep pastoral concern, both for the people of our fire ravaged parishes of Eaglehawk, Heathcote-Redesdale, Myrtleford, Beechworth, parts of Tallangatta and Wodonga, but also for you who desperately want to help with a need that binds us to those in the fire zones. Amid the devastation and loss, your overwhelming generosity and preparedness to help has been a source of inspiration and hope to me and to others.
I have been in close conference with my fellow bishops and we are exploring options as to how, as a church, we can best assist in the immediate and longer term
