This might be an interesting option for all of you who can't spend a whole week in Sydney but however don't want to miss the final Mass with the pope! Day trip
WYD Papal Mass “Day Trip” option Day trip A pilgrimage is being organized for adults and young people to make a quick trip to Sydney for the final Mass of the World Youth Day week.
Details Expressions of interest are now being taken for a three day pilgrimage to the World Youth Day Papal Mass in Sydney. Cost is $250 which includes transport, accommodation and some meals. This is not a “registered” package, so allocations of seating will not be anywhere near our registered pilgrims, and will most likely be in the secondary venue of Centennial Park, where the Mass will be viewed on screens. The Pope will do a “drive through” the area before the Mass.
Itinerary Depart Wodonga 19th July 11am (Pick-up from other locations available for groups of 5 or more) Overnight in Canberra (dinner and breakfast provided) Depart Canberra 20th July 4am to arrive Sydney 8am Papal Mass at Randwick 10am to 12 noon, approximately. Depart Sydney for Canberra in evening (lunch and dinner at own expense) Overnight in Canberra Canberra 21st July - breakfast is provided, as well as time for sightseeing Arrive Wodonga 21st July 3pm
Requirements Participants must be able to walk at least 3km from drop off point outside Randwick as the bus will be restricted from getting closer to the venue. Children under 18yrs must be accompanied by an adult. Accommodation will be either single beds, bunks or cabins
