Dear friends of the word! What a pity! A wedding was comming up. Guests had come for a couple of days from far away and then this message: the wine had run out! A shame for the young couple and the organizing family. Such an experience will stay forever in mind of the guests and the further environment. Even after years they will talk about them, even give them names like “the nonwiners!”. ...
June 2009
Mary, the mother of Jesus – she was invited with Her Son and His disciples to the wedding – notices the situation. She brings it in contact with Her Son and tells Him: “They don’t have any more wine!” And even though He blames her and asked her: “What do you want from me woman? My hour hasn’t come, yet!” Mary brings something in motion thru her believing acting. She believes in Jesus without any doubts. And so she makes possible that a little piece of heaven can come thru. In her believe she says to the servants at the wedding: “Do whatever He tells you!”, even though she doesn’t know what He would tell them.
Dear friends of the word, to bring our needs in contact with Jesus and the to hear His words and handle them – that is the program Mary suggests us. And what does He tell us, if we cannot see anything because of our sorrows? “Come to me, those who are suffering and those who have lots of sorrows to carry. I will give you peace!” What does He tell us if we are just doing big words? “Noone has a bigger love than that one, who gives his life for his friends!” What does He tell us if fights and rejection are between us? “Go and reconcil with you brother first. Only after that bring your presents.” What does He tell us, if we are sad? – Blessed are the grieving, because they will be consoled. What does He tell us if we rely on things of this world too much? – Blessed are the poor, because they will receive Heavenly Kingdom! And what does He tell us, if our whole lives seem to be senseless and becomes a question? – “Come and follow me!” And what does He tell us as a sign of recongnition, something like”Christian Watermark”? – “Love each others, like I loved you!”
Let us listen to Jesus this month! He has to tell us always something new with His words! Let us do what He tells us to do! With all of you on the way,
