Sandhurst is starting YCS groups that will be parish based and school supported in 2010. Our current National Campaign is 100% Respect, where students across Australia are working to create a world based on respect. We have chosen three major focus areas of issues we think high students need to bring respect into the world. One major focus for 2010-2012 is Fair Trade. About YCS
The Australian YCS is a national movement run for by and among secondary school students with a mission to form active Christian leaders who are transforming the world around them. YCS has groups across Australia based in schools, parishes and different communities who met regularly to reflect on their everyday experiences and look at how their faith calls them to act to change the world using a method called the Review of Life (See, Judge, Act). We are totally run by high schools students which mean we learn everyday life skills and leadership and are having a big impact on their community.
