When working with young people you will collect a lot of information. The Federal Governments privacy act has put regulations around the collection and safe-keeping of personal information, sensitive information and health information. It also cover the use of photography of young people under the age of 18 and how those photos are used. As a basic rule, no information can be collected from individuals or photos taken of them with them basically saying that it’s ok to do so. When working with young people, this authority needs to come from parents or guardians.
