44 Catholic Diocese of Sandhurst Year in Review 2024 Catholic Education Sandhurst 50 Years Strong Education Office Honours a Legacy of Quality and Dedication ‘Every Student, Every Teacher, Every School, Every Day’ On 18 August past and present members of the Catholic Education Sandhurst Office gathered to celebrate 50 fabulous years. Congregating in Bendigo for a commemorative Mass and luncheon, all five lay Directors, Bishop Shane Mackinlay and Bishop Emeritus Les Tomlinson were in attendance, a testimony to their dedicated leadership and commitment to Catholic education. The first Director of the CEO, the late Bishop Peter de Campo, along with Adrian Sexton, Dennis Higgins, Phil Billington, Paul Desmond and Kate Fogarty faithfully led the office for a combined fifty years. 1965
